Looking for a rewarding job this summer? Apply to be a Summer Camp Counselor. The YMCA is looking for responsible, energetic applicants who enjoy working with children and as a team. This 3 month position (running May-August) requires one who is dedicated and hard working; counselors are responsible for the safety and general welfare of every child enrolled in the camp program while providing a fun and educational environment.

The Summer Camp Counselor must meet the qualifications set forth by the Department of Social Services: At least 6 months of child care experience and at least 18 years of age. The Summer Camp Counselor must understand and be willing to learn the necessary skills required for the successful completion of duties including: Current CPR/First Aide, certification 8 hours of YMCA orientation/child abuse training, be tested and found clear of tuberculosis, participate in necessary workshops which will enhance his or her learning, attend mandatory staff meetings and training's to meet Social Service requirements of 8 hours per year.
