Older Adults
The YMCA Older Adults programs are designed to enrich the lives of people who are in their middle and older years by helping them develop skills to meet life's challenges. Older adults can stay active and healthy by participating in both physical and social activities. At the YMCA, older adults have a place to go to improve their fitness levels, explore new interests and make new friends!
Activities Include:
  • GoldQuest— personalized wellness program for adults over 55 years
  • MedQuest— personalized wellness program for those who are referred by physician
  • Low-intensity Group Exercise classes
  • Arthritis Aquatic classes - helps alleviate pain due to arthritis
  • Senior Strength Training
  • Walk Reebok— increases bone density and reduces the risk of heart disease
  • Social activities such as luncheons, table games and outings
  • Cooking Class

Get Fit For Seniors
Days: Tues, Thurs
Time: 10:00 am - 11:00 am
  Get Fit for Seniors is a weight bearing class designed specifically for seniors to start getting fit or to maintain a fit lifestyle. Light aerobic moves in addition to some strength training and flexibility will be combined to create a well-rounded low-impact workout.
Hatha Yoga

Time: 4:00 pm - 5:30 pm
  Yoga or Hatha Yoga is a wonderful mind/body class that will stretch and relax your entire body and mind. All levels are welcome. Hatha Yoga also incorporates strength moves into the mind/body class in addition to the stretching and relaxation. Starts at 8 years old.

  Class will be held in the Group Exercise Room. Starts at 8 years old.
