The YMCA on Wheels

You can see it coming a mile away! The YMCA Inneractive Mobile Learning Center brings hands on learning experiences to children throughout South Hampton Roads. Look for it in your neighborhood!

The YMCA InnerActive Mobile Learning Center provides computer training to youth and adults in underserved communities throughout South Hampton Roads.

Known as the IBus, the Learning Center features 12 computer stations, a projection system, satellite internet capability and offers education and job readiness computer-based trainings. Participants receive academic assistance, career exploration, computer education and other programs sensitive to the needs of at-risk families.

Community organizations, civic leagues, churches, schools and YMCAs can reserve the IBus for youth and adult programs throughout the year. For more information about the IMLC programs at 757-962-2112 or communityservices@ymcashr.org.

The First Tee Mobile Learning Center

The First Tee of Hampton Roads Mobile Learning Center helps teach youth life skills through the game of golf with a putting course, video monitors for swing analysis, internet access to golf information and instructional space. The mobile center is available for programs at schools, athletic fields, golf facilities, parks and local attractions.
