Older Adults
The YMCA Older Adults programs are designed to enrich the lives of people who are in their middle and older years by helping them develop skills to meet life’s challenges. Older adults can stay active and healthy by participating in both physical and social activities. At the YMCA, older adults have a place to go to improve their fitness levels, explore new interests and make new friends!

  • GoldQuest: a 12-week, personalized wellness program for adults over 55 years.
  • Interactive Zone: An investment of $375,000 in new interactive equipment is sure to offer YMCA members an exhilarating, full-body workout while playing video games! More than just a computer that makes you sweat, the equipment offers something for everyone from simulated interaction training for athletes, to keeping youth and teens active and excited about fitness, to mental and physical coordination exercises for older adults and rehabilitation patients.

Kickin' Abs

  Kicks, jabs, uppercuts and abs will give your heart a kick start with this kickin' aerobic workout which also includes core exercises.
Pilates Mat Beginners

  Great for Beginners!
A beginner's level class which teaches the five basic principles of Pilates and the essential level repertoire of exercises.
Pilates Mat multi-level

Time: 11:20 am - 12:20 pm
  Pilates Mat (Multi-level): A faster paced more challenging workout integrating intermediate/advanced exercises. Appropriate for those who are already familiar with the essential level repertoire of exercises. Pre-requisite: Pilates mat basic or prior Pilates exercise experience.
Senior Fitness

Time: 12:30 pm - 1:30 pm
  Move to music through a variety of exercises designed to increase strength and rage of motion and activity for daily living skills. Chairs may be used.
Stretch and Flexibility

  A complete body stretch and strengthening class. Leave feeling strong and relaxed!
Yoga

  Combines the elements of Hatha Yoga with traditional fitness exercises and stretching routines. An effective and exciting workout that energizes the mind, body and spirit but also features strength and conditioning components.
