Family
The YMCA brings parents and children together for life enriching experiences. We believe the YMCA can help in strengthening relationships in families by providing fun and meaningful programs and activities. Time together as a family is valuable; the YMCA provides quality physical and social programs and activities, designed specifically for families. Family programs available at the Effingham Street Family YMCA include:

  • Parents' Night Out: This program allows parents to enjoy a night out on the town while their children have fun at YMCA supervised activities and enjoy pizza and drinks. PNO is the third Saturday of each month, 5:30 - 9 pm. Registration is required; sign up at the Member Services desk the Monday before.
  • Interactive Zone: Enjoy an exhilarating, full-body workout while playing video games! Cateye gamebikes, Kilowatt stations, Cybex Trazers and the SportWall offer something for everyone from simulated interaction training for athletes, to keeping youth and teens active and excited about fitness, to mental and physical coordination exercises for older adults and rehabilitation patients.
  • Poolside Cookouts
  • Ice Cream Socials
  • Family Fun Nights
  • Family Field Trips
The YMCA is committed to providing programs that build a healthy spirit, mind and body for all. If you and
your family need financial assistance in paying fees for YMCA programs or membership, just ask! Download
