Older Adults
The YMCA Older Adults programs are designed to enrich the lives of people who are in their middle and older years by helping them develop skills to meet life's challenges. Older adults can stay active and healthy by participating in both physical and social activities. At the YMCA, older adults have a place to go to improve their fitness levels, explore new interests and make new friends!

  • Interactive Zone: The YMCA takes working out to the next level. Step into a virtual world of fitness in the Interactive Zone. Youth can play video games with friends while being engaged in physical activity on NEW Expresso bikes. Families can race one another, pedaling side by side, while following a visual of their course. Or, check out the NEW Xerdance, which provides the perfect platform for individuals or groups to perform dance steps in unison with the onscreen instruction. At the YMCA, getting fit has never been so fun!

Adult Basketball

  Join an adult pick up game of basketball on Tuesday and Thursday nights. Get a great workout and make new friends.

Aquajog - Saturdays

  A popular class to challenge the upper and lower body while conditioning and toning at the same time. Need to be comfortable in deep water while wearing a float belt.

Aquatic AOA - Monday, Wednesdays & Fridays

Time: 10:00 am - 11:00 am
  This class is taught using Arthritis Foundations guidelines. The water's natural buoyancy and continuous resistance improves joint flexibility and muscle strength. This class is low impact and is held in the shallow end of the pool.

  This active class will get you out of the chair and moving your feet. Slow controlled low impact aerobic movements along with strength buidling excercises. Chair options will be shown.
Interactive Zone

Time: 1:00 am - 12:00 am
  New interactive equipment offers members an exhilarating, full-body workout while playing video games! More than just a computer that makes you sweat, the equipment offers something for everyone from simulated interaction training for athletes, to keeping youth and teens active and excited about fitness, to mental and physical coordination exercises for older adults and rehabilitation patients.

Lap Swim

  Time at the pool for individuals and families for open swim or exercise swim. Lifeguards will check the swimming ability of each child in the pool.

Children 9 and under need to be accompanied by an adult in the pool at all times. Children 10 and older may come to the pool by themselves as long as an adult is in the building with them.

The Dolphin Slide is available on Friday night from 7:30–9pm, Saturday from 1pm–4pm, and Sunday from 1pm–4pm.

Outdoor Pool

Time: 10:30 am - 8:00 pm
  Come play and have a fun, safe summer at the Greenbrier Family Outdoor Aquatic Facility. The pool features a 4 foot deep, 25 meter pool, a toddler wading pool, and a brand new water park!

Lifeguards will check the swimming ability of each child in the pool.
Children 9 and under need to be accompanied by an adult in the pool at all times.

Children 10 and older may come to the pool by themselves as long as an adult is in the building with them.

Personal Training
Days: All
Time: 5:00 am - 10:00 pm
  Personal Training allows you to work one on one with a certified Personal Trainer on strength training, cardiovascular training, sports specific trainings, Pilates, and more. Training sessions last about an hour and provide time for questions and answers. Sessions are scheduled at the convenience of the member and trainer. Individual and group sessions are available. Contact the Greenbrier Family YMCA for pricing and trainers. Must be a YMCA member to participate. Registration required.
Senior Strength
Days: Mon, Wed, Fri
Time: 11:15 am - 12:00 pm
  This format combines range of motion excercies and strength training. Seated and standing excercises will be demonstrated. Focus on excercises that assist with your daily living activities. Participants work at their own level of ability and may elect not to use weights. Meet your friends here after water aerobics or just join in for a great workout.
Starter WaterFit

  This beginner friendly class combines shallow water conditioning with resistance and deep water movement with a flotation belt.
