- FitQuest: This 12-week personalized fitness program, included in YMCA membership, is designed to meet your specific fitness needs. Our trained FitQuest Coaches will teach, guide, motivate and give you the personal attention you need to successfully reach your goals. Sign up for FitQuest at the Member Services desk.
- Personal Training: Personal Trainers can make the difference in your fitness program. They educate you about proper form and technique to make your workout safe and effective. Your trainer will design an individualized program to meet your specific needs and work with you during each workout. YMCA trainers are knowledgeable about exercise science and work with people of all ages and fitness levels to help them accomplish their short and long term fitness goals.

Barbara is a certified Massage Therapist and has worked in the wellness and healing field for over 14 years. Barbara maintains her practice here at the Blocker Norfolk Family YMCA. She received her Massage Therapy Training at the Virginia Institute of Massage Therapy. Barbara is skilled in Swedish Massage, Sports Massage, and Chair Massage.

Vladimir studied and began massages in the Ukraine 20 years ago. and began serving the Blocker Norfolk Family YMCA members 10 years ago. Vladimir is certified through the Associated Bodywork and Massage Professionals. He specializes in deep tissue massage which benefits spinal alignment and relaxation of the central nervous system.

Whether you want to lose weight, become stronger, build muscle mass, increase endurance, rehabilitate, improve flexibility, sport specific train or just get in shape the Blocker Norfolk Family YMCA offers certified trainers who will design programs that will help you reach your goals.
Each trainer will not only coach you but will become partner in wellness. Programs can be designed to include cardiovascular workouts, weight training, stretching, water exercise, pilates, yoga postures, and sport specific exercises.
Personal Training Packages:
