Dear Outer Banks Family YMCA,

My extended family and I visited the Outer Banks in the summer of 2004. We chose a large beachfront house in S. Nags Head. In doing so, we got the best of both worlds. We had a large private pool, enough sleeping quarters for 25 and were situated right on the beach. When making the final selections for housing, it became apparent that only a few properties offered a free membership to the YMCA. This convinced me to select a "YMCA" property, as fitness is very much a part of mine and my family’s life.

I utilized the YMCA on three occasions that week and I must say that it was clean, comfortable and offered an array of fitness equipment. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable. Being from "out of town" they made it easy to use the facility and for us to feel welcome.

All in all, the YMCA was a great "bonus" to our beachfront vacation.
