The Salem YMCA Family Center offers full-day preschool and pre-Kindergarten. Our programs can help prepare your child for success in school— and in life. Research on the brain and on learning shows how important the early years are in a child's learning and development. What happens in preschool and pre-Kindergarten matters a lot. And what you do at home is even more important. Working together, we can give your child the best start for school.

Our curriculums are consistent with the Y's philosophy, which is grounded in a child-centered and holistic approach to early childhood education. Core competency areas are literacy, mathematics, science, social studies, arts, technology, healthy habits and social, moral and spiritual development. The program is enriched by swimming, sports and movement. Children must be potty-trained to attend this program.

There is also an annual materials fee of $50 for both programs. Morning and afternoon snack are included in tuition.
