The YMCA brings parents and children together for life enriching experiences. We believe the YMCA can help in strengthening relationships in families by providing fun and meaningful programs and activities. Time together as a family is valuable; the YMCA provides quality physical and social programs and activities, designed specifically for families. Family programs available at the Suffolk Family YMCA include:

  • ChildWatch: Babysitting while you work out for family members
  • Parents' Night Out: Why not let the kids enjoy a night out too? Feel confident knowing your children are happy and healthy while enjoying an array of activities with their peers. Parents' Night Out is offered twice each month on Saturdays. Members may register for one session per month.

Creative P.L.A.Y.

  Physical Learning Activities for Youth gives children ages 3-6 years of age a chance to move their bodies, get creative and have fun! Participants take mini-field trips around the YMCA to the basketball gym, child care facility, and the Interactive Zone to participate in sports, dance, games and more!

$200.00.

Lock-ins from Friday evening at 9:30 pm until 7:00 am Saturday morning.
We can accommodate 25-100 guests.
Cost is determined by the number of guests; please call for prices.

Teen events, Showers, Reunions, etc. on Saturday and Sundays after 6:30 pm.

  Group Exercise for Kids Only! Children will dance, play, meet friends and get their chance to experience all the fun while exercising and building healthy habits just like Mom or Dad.
Indoor Pool Open Swim

  Time at the pool for individuals and families to have fun and/or exercise. Our lifeguards will check the skills of all children to ensure safety.

Ages 10-12 are welcome at the pool by themselves once a swim test is given by the lifeguard. A parent must both bring the child to and from the pool and remain in the building at all times.

All children must wear closed toe shoes. You may only register for one session per month. Cancellations must be made 48 hours in advance in order to be eligible for the second monthly session.

Y-Change

  If you’re new to the Y and are not sure where to begin, Y-Change may be just what you need. This free, six-week, members-only program will certainly get you headed in the right direction.

Meet with your Y-Change coach three times a week - once to discuss goal setting and general nutrition, two additional times to exercise. Track your progress in your own Y-Change journal, as your coach motivates and supports you.
