Make a splash!

The newest outdoor aquatic center available to you is at the Taylor Bend Family YMCA, which will include a splash park, kiddie pool with a toddler slide, bathhouse and an activity pool for families.

As a YMCA of South Hampton Roads member, you have access to all YMCA outdoor centers, including the new Taylor Bend outdoor center, at no additional charge!

Plastering is complete and the final details are being done to prepare for our grand opening in just 10 days! Lighting is being installed in the pool and the remaining water will be added by tomorrow. Construction of the spray park has begun, looks like fun!

Our pool construction crew is busy at work to meet our May 24 deadline. Today they are pouring the concrete pool deck. Electricity is scheduled to be connected Thursday and the fence will be installed next week.

The siding and roof of the pool house are almost complete. Work continues on the kiddie pool and tile work begins on the family pool. Work continues at a steady pace and just over seven weeks remain to our target opening date!

The bath house is steadily progressing and the pad for the spray park is scheduled to be poured late next week.
