Get your family moving with the America On the Move Challenge
1. Sign up for this free, members-only program at your local Y by September 9.

2. Beginning September 5, track your workouts and healthy activity in FitLinxx. Work out three times per week for three weeks and earn a prize!

3. Celebrate your success at America On the Move Day, September 26 from 2 to 4 pm at your local Y (and bring friends to this free community celebration, full of healthy and fun family activities).

Suffolk now offers Child Care at your school!
Starting this September, the Suffolk YMCA School-Age Child Care will now be available on site at the following schools, before- and after- school:

• Creekside
• Driver Elementary
• Hillpoint
• Kilby Shores
• Mack Benn
• Mt. Zion
• Nansemond Parkway
• Northern Shores

America On the Move Day - September 26
Celebrate your first steps to living a healthy lifestyle at the YMCA’s America On the Move Day on September 26. All YMCA of South Hampton Roads family centers (including Community Services locations) will offer families opportunities to participate in healthy activities between 2 - 4 pm. This event is free and open to the public. Come out and celebrate being healthy and active members of the community!

Parents' Night Out - Taylor Bend Family YMCA
6 - 9:30 pm

Parents' Night Out is offered at Taylor Bend Family YMCA on the 1st and 2nd Saturday each month. This free program for members allows parents to enjoy a night out while their children 1-12 years old have fun at YMCA supervised activities! Children enjoy an evening of age-appropriate activities including games, crafts, sports, movies and more!

Please visit our Family page for more information or to register. Registration begins at 5 am on the Monday prior to the program. Registrations are accepted online or at the Member Services desk. Members may participate in one Parents' Night Out session per month.

Labor Day Cook-Out! - Great Bridge / Hickory Family YMCA
Join us today for a cookout from 12–2 pm at the Outdoor Pool. Food and fun for the whole family! We will provide the hot dogs and drinks; please bring a side dish to share.
