Jamie Childress, Camp Director and Founder
Jamie Childress enters his 14th year as a YMCA professional and day camp director. He is a Senior Director and holds a BS in Recreation and Tourism Management from Old Dominion University. Jamie's passions include outdoor recreation, sports, leadership and youth development. He is married to Teresa and has one son, Lee who is three years old.

Samantha Smith, Director of Programs
Samantha is a graduate of Old Dominion University, with a bachelors in Education and a minor in Child Psychology. She has worked as a counselor and youth leader in a variety of positions. She enjoys surfing, camping, rafting, hiking and cooking. She loves working with kids and looks forward to helping others while changing lives at camp every year!
