Time together as a family is valuable; the YMCA provides quality physical and social programs and activities, designed specifically for families

  • ChildWatch: Weekly themes and planned activities keep children ages six weeks to 8 years entertained while parents enjoy a stress-free workout.
  • Family Nights: enjoy movies, games, crafts and more.
  • Family Spinning: cycle alongside mom, dad, brother or sister; have an invigorating ride, led by enthusiastic instructors.
  • Family Swim: enjoy time together as a family in the pool; take advantage of our inflatable waterslides!
  • Healthy Kids Day: an annual, community-wide event to celebrate and introduce fun & healthy activities for kids.
  • Interactive Zone: new interactive equipment - Cateye Game Bikes, Kilowatt, Sportwall and Cybex Trazer-offers YMCA members an exhilarating, full-body workout while playing video games!
  • Parent/Child Group Exercise classes: spend quality time together being active & having fun.
  • Open Gym: enjoy free time to play ball with your kids.
  • Outdoor Water Parks: beat the heat this summer; swim, slide and splash with your family in our six outdoor pools/water parks.
  • Parents' Night Out: Feel confident knowing your child is happy, healthy and entertained at the YMCA while you enjoy a few hours of "me" time.
  • Pool Parties: cool down with games, movies, music and more.
  • Water Slides: slip and slide on our indoor water slides. Check the pool schedule for open swim.

KidsPriorityOne

Kids are our first priority – and parenting is the most important job you’ll ever undertake. KidsPriorityOne is an exciting one-stop resource center helping parents find the resources they need to build strong and healthy families.


Whether you have a newborn or a high schooler about to enter college, www.KidsPriorityOne.org has the information you need.

In addition to an extensive database of local services, you will find information on such topics as healthy brain development, building early social skills, promoting creativity, positive parenting, youth leadership, and much more. If you don’t have access to the Internet – call 757-CHILDREN (244-5373) – and they will help you find what you are looking for. For anyone working with children and families, this is a resource for you, too. Call to set up a training session for your parent or professional group.
