Nov. 23, 2020 - The YMCA of South Hampton Roads is committed to the health and safety of our members, staff and community. Today Gov. Roy Cooper announced stricter mask requirements to slow the spread of COVID-19.

Beginning Wednesday, Nov. 25, masks will be required at all times inside North Carolina YMCA facilities, including while exercising, for people ages 5 and up. Masks are not required in the pool or shower.

Youth program participants ages 5 and up must wear face coverings at all times indoors and outdoors, regardless of social distancing. Ages 2 and up are strongly recommended to wear a mask.

Wearing a mask not only keeps our friends and family safe, it is critical to keeping our YMCA facilities and programs open. We appreciate your support.
