e-Learning Academy Assistants


YMCA e-Learning Academy (ELA) provides school age child care for parents/caregivers while meeting the academic, physical and social-emotional well-being of youth. ELA Assistants will aid staff in delivering high quality programming while providing academic support to children in the participation and completion of school assignments.

Key Priorities:

  1. Assist youth participants in completion of virtual school assignments.
  2. Provide motivation and encouragement to all youth.
  3. Assist Y staff in teaching time management, study and organizational skills.
  4. Expect students to do their best.
  5. Celebrate students’ academic efforts and successes.


  • Requires a person of impeccable character, maturity and good judgment
  • Minimum age of 18
  • Is computer proficient
  • Must have superior oral and written communication skills and the ability to respond to a wide variety of constituencies, including staff, volunteers, members and program participants
  • Must possess an innate desire to help youth achieve socially, emotionally, physically and academically
