Kids come face-to-face with many new adventures in their teenage years—from first jobs, driving permits, exploring talents and interests, preparing for life after high school, and discovering independence. The Y wants to help with programs and resources that help give them the tools it takes to connect with others and be successful.

Leaders Club

Leaders Club is a fun, active social and service club for ages 12–18 that focuses on preparing youth for life after high school. Guided by a staff advisor, teens learn and practice leadership, determining rules of engagement for their club and participating in volunteer service projects. Teens also stay active together and participate in fun adventure activities. Teens make friends and develop self-confidence, independence and cooperation.

Teen Leadership Overnight Camp

The overnight Leadership Development Program at YMCA Camp Silver Beach provides campers with a an in-depth and meaningful camp experience that focuses on leadership qualities. This three-week program is open to rising 11th graders who are 16 years old by the start of the program.
