Louisa Evans

Experience: Been with the Y since 2010; Personal Trainer since 2012.
Strengths: The gym can be an intimidating place to some, and her goal is to help clients feel confident so that their personal best can be achieved with hard work and fun. 
Focus: She works with a variety of clients to further their balance, flexibility, strength and endurance. She uses her skills as a nutrition specialist, TRX certification and Group Exercise Instructor to help her clients reach their goals.

Yvonne Valery

Experience: Been with the Y for 6 years as a personal trainer.
Strengths: She says she is reminded how much I love what I do when a client shares the improvements and personal goals they achieve. I think it takes a brave person to make such a change. She likes keeping the workouts fresh and challenging.
Focus: She works with both athletes who want to meet specific goals, as well as a new member looking to take that first step toward a healthier lifestyle.

Linda Hendrickson

Experience: Been with the Y for 10 years; Personal trainer for 8 years.
Strengths: She loves people! She helps push her clients out of their comfort zone by trying new things they never have before. She incorporates nutrition and food prep into her training.
Focus: She has trained teens through seniors to clients with injuries to clients with cancer. Her focus is on each one as an individual.
Quote: “4 weeks for YOU to see your body is changing, 8 weeks for YOUR FRIENDS AND FAMILY, 12 weeks for the REST OF THE WORLD. Hang in there!"


Karen Ovalle

Experience: Been a Personal Trainer for 2 years.
Strengths: Believes that how a client feels is very important to being successful in personal training. She tells her clients that ”We can achieve their goals together...We are a team.”
Focus: Focuses on clients that are older adults. She gears her training toward weight loss, strength and overall body conditioning.
Quote: "What fits your busy schedule better–exercising an hour a day or being dead 24 hours a day?”


Ken Bae

Experience: Been a Personal Trainer since 2004.
Strengths: Possesses a passion for fitness and willingness to go the extra mile for you to obtain your goals. Likes to include boxing and TRX in his training, and always wants to make his training sessions challenging and fun!
Focus: Focuses on clients specific goals. Has trained Military to triathletes to school athletes– all looking to improve their performances.

Early Beckwith, Jr.

Experience: Been with the Y since 2006; Personal Trainer for 11 years.
Strengths: Prefers to be called “Coach”. His mission is to improve his trainees’ fitness resulting in a better quality of life, and to improve athletic performance for an enhanced outcome.
Focus: Focuses on clients that want to improve their athletic ability, from youth to seniors. His background is in High School coaching and sports training, and he is a retired US Army serviceman.
Quote: ““In TRAINING you only have one direction for success."


Kim Walker

Experience: Been with the Y since 2011; Personal Trainer for 2 years.
Strengths: She has a passion for fitness, and gets great satisfaction at seeing her clients reach their personal goals. Loves knowing that she is going to help someone be their best.
Focus: She likes training athletes. She is enthusiastic about pushing athletes to their limits to get to their optimum level of their sport.
Quote: “It doesn’t get easier, you just get better.”


Susan Waterfield

Experience: Been with the Y for 10 years; Personal trainer for 9 years.
Strengths: She has a passion for the Lord, and encourages her clients to improve themselves not only physically, but also spiritually, mentally and emotionally. She believes this gives a balance for optimum health.
Focus: She focuses on training clients with physical limitations, or health issues requiring personalized workouts to strengthen those areas of weakness.
Quote: “I/You CAN...through Christ who strengthens you”


Sadie Hamrick

Experience: New to the Y & personal training, but has been an athlete & fitness lover all her life.
Strengths: She takes a caring, and uplifting approach to help her clients reach their goals. She gets very excited to motivate her clients in bettering themselves.
Focus: She focuses on building her clients confidence to reach their goals, and enjoys introducing them to new workouts that they would never have tried on their own.
Quote: “Workout because you love your body, not because you hate it!”


Shannon Potts

Experience: Been with the Y for a year; Fitness & Nutrition focused since 2011.
Strengths: She is a goal oriented trainer, who is persistent when it comes to reaching a client’s desired outcome. She loves helping clients reach the goals that they didn’t think possible.
Focus: She focuses on weight and strength training, but is dedicated to helping others be the best possible version of themselves, and will train them in whatever way they need to get there.
Quote: “This is as much a mental game as it is a physical one—if you think you can, you will.”
