Discovering Home Away From Home
"Since moving halfway across the country two years ago, the Y has become one of my favorite home-away-from-homes."
Two years ago, Hannah set out on a new journey, moving halfway across the country with her family. Amidst the uncertainties of living in a new place, she was welcomed to the community at the YMCA. She shares:
"The Y has become one of my favorite home-away-from-homes. I thank God for providing me such a place with welcoming people who began as strangers, and now are very near to my heart! God has shown his goodness to my family in so many ways at the Y, from staff and childcare workers who my children adore, to volleyball and workout partners who always keep me laughing, to trying new things like pickle ball and coaching t-ball and so much more! I’ve shed a little blood, a few needed tears, and so much sweat at the YMCA and I wouldn’t have it any other way!"
