O·pen [adj.]— to have no enclosing confining barrier, to be accessible
Help remove barriers and create equitable opportunities at the Y. Make the definition of the word “open” a reality, for all.
Give For a Better Us
The Y is us. You, me, your family, your neighbors, your coworkers, your children’s schoolmates. Together, we laugh, learn, sweat, swim, socialize, find the support we need and share that support with others in need. And it works, because we do it together.
As a locally based nonprofit organization, our number one priority is to serve this community. So every tax-deductible dollar you donate directly affects all of us in the best possible way: through before- and after-school care, swim lessons, health & wellness for seniors, diabetes prevention, summer camps, teen leadership, family activities, senior social hours and, of course, scholarships that ensure our doors are always open for those most in need.

Your gift makes a difference.
Access to Swimming
Drowning risks vary by race and household income – 64% of black children, 45% of hispanic children and 40% of white children have few to no swimming skills. Access is critical and your gift creates affordable or free swim lessons at the Y to more than 10,000 kids annually.
Supporting Mental Health
Each year, 20% or 51.5 million adults experience significant mental distress. Support through regular exercise and community connection improve mental health and there’s no better place than the Y where we serve more than 150,000 people each year, 30% receiving financial assistance made possible by donors.
17% of children have a developmental disability and 100% of children with developmental disabilities still need places like the Y to stay well, be active and remain a part of the community. Annually, the Y serves families of all incomes and children of all abilities in our summer camp and child care programs through the generosity of donors.
