Beyond fitness facilities, we provide educational programs to promote healthier decisions, and offer a variety of programs that support physical, intellectual and spiritual strength. Get Started with Two Free Personal Training Sessions
Our personal trainers will teach, guide, motivate and give you the personal attention you need to successfully reach your wellness goals. With an exercise plan tailored to fit your needs, our trainers will create a wellness plan for any age and fitness level.
Make class and activity reservations, participate in challenges, track workouts, learn and improve your Bio Age, and more with the YMCASHR mobile app. Earn rewards points and redeem them for cool Y swag and programs.
REGYMEN workouts are designed with excitement and variety to prevent burnout from the same old cardio routine. Using heart-rate training technology, you'll work through high intensity intervals and challenge your body, focusing on different areas for muscle gain, calorie burn, flexibility, and agility.
L.E.A.N Weight Loss Program
In the Lifelong Essentials for Activity & Nutrition (LEAN) program, you'll find support for your journey to becoming more active and eating smarter for healthy weight loss.
Take your fitness to the next level with personal training. YMCA Personal Trainers deliver guided individualized exercise programs to help you achieve and maintain your health and wellness goals.
Homeschool activities are available to both YMCA members and prospective members and are taught by trained and qualified staff. Programs are available to children ages 3-17 who are homeschooled, and vary by family center.
LIVESTRONG® at the YMCA
LIVESTRONG® at the YMCA is an evidence‐based 12-week program that helps adult cancer survivors reclaim their health and well‐being.
Sentara Clinical Fitness
The Sentara Clinical Fitness Program is a medically-referred program where participants work one-on-one with a Clinical Fitness Specialist to improve endurance, increase strength, improve mobility, reduce pain levels and improve overall daily function.
Transitions Fitness Therapy
Transitions is a partnership program between the YMCA of South Hampton Roads and Sentara Therapy Centers, designed to assist you with an exercise plan that will help improve recovery from surgery, injury and other medical conditions.
