In 2017, my fitness journey took an unexpected turn when my roommate introduced me to the YMCA. Little did I know that this decision would become a pivotal part of my graduate school life and an anchor during the challenging times of the COVID pandemic.

In 2017, my fitness journey took an unexpected turn when my roommate introduced me to the YMCA. Little did I know that this decision would become a pivotal part of my graduate school life and an anchor during the challenging times of the COVID pandemic.

My initial interest in the YMCA's classes, like Group Fight and Power, led me to discover the power of Strength Train Together. As I navigated graduate school, this class not only provided a structured weight training regimen but also a sense of community and support that kept me motivated.

As the COVID pandemic unfolded, maintaining a regular exercise routine became even more important. Despite disruptions, I adjusted my schedule to attend Strength Train Together classes, racing against time on Thursdays to make it to Terre's class.

Amid the chaos of school, work, and the pandemic, the YMCA evolved from a fitness center to a constant companion. The community within its walls became a source of strength and support, forming a fitness family that shared not only workout struggles but also the challenges of a changing world.

The YMCA has been a constant in my life, the power of community and the positive impact of regular exercise, especially during trying times. As I reflect on these years, I'm grateful for the friendships, discipline, and strength the YMCA has brought into my life.
