Frank Klein Completes Team Leader Certification

Frank Klein, Executive Director at the Hilltop Family YMCA recently completed his Team Leader certification from the YMCA of the USA. We caught up with him to find out about his time at the Y.
 
How long have you worked for the YMCA of South Hampton Roads?
Since April 2018.

What is your favorite part of your job?
Helping people daily and solving problems.

Which leadership course was your favorite and why?
“Introduction to Fiscal Management”, I love numbers as much as people and this course was presented in a fun and engaging format.

What did you enjoy about Principles & Practices?
I enjoyed meeting YMCA professionals from other associations. This allowed me the opportunity to engage in new ideas and build new relationships.

What did receiving your certification do for you personally?
Attaining this certification showed how invested our leaders are in developing others. It is important that we are given the tools to succeed, and this certification is a step in the right direction.
