People of the Y: Hunter, 10

Meet Hunter. He is 10 years old. In early November 2014 his parents were trying to find a place that instructed homeschool P.E., after moving from Mississippi. That led them to our doors just before Thanksgiving break.
Since being in the HYPE program with the Y he has been able to meet new friends, build a stronger self-esteem and learned more about fitness. He started off as very shy but has overcome that fear being able to meet kids that are home schooled just like him. Hunter says the "C" in YMCA stands for cool, because that's just what he is. Just an ordinary kid with an extraordinary future.
