YMCA of South Hampton Roads welcomes new Vice President of Analytics and Market Research

As of July 1, 2017, Amelia Baker is the first person to fill a role new to the YMCA of South Hampton Roads, Vice president of Analytics and Market Research.

Baker previously held the role of Market Analyst for the YMCA of South Hampton Roads, however under the recent promotions of Anthony Walters to Chief Strategy Officer,  and Bill Zazynski and Adam Kahrl to Chief Co-Chief Operating Officers, she takes on her new position to help maximize the impact the Y has on the South Hampton Roads, North Eastern North Carolina and Eastern Shore of Virginia areas. Baker's role serves to help the senior management team make the more strategic decisions in membership and programming based on fully vetted and researched market trends and community needs. 

Baker brings more than 15 years of comprehensive marketing experience with expertise in campaign design, project management, and market research. She's held positions at Recycling Perks, Toll Brothers Inc. and owned and operated a boutique eco store and a center for hard to recycle items.

She holds a Masters of Business Administration (MBA) with an emphasis in marketing and advertising from California State University and is a resident of Norfolk, Virginia. She looks forward to accelerating the Y's influence throughout the community and ensuring that the Y continues to be the leader in programs for youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility.
