COMPETITIVE SWIMMING FOR AGES 6–18
Join the YMCA Swim Team and experience the excitement of competitive swimming in a supportive and skill-building environment. Our swim teams are open to youth ages 6 to 18 and focus on improving technique, building endurance, and fostering a love for the sport.
Start with a Swim Assessment
Before joining the swim team, all new participants must complete a one-time swim team assessment. This quick evaluation helps our coaches place swimmers in the appropriate training group based on age, skill and endurance.

- Swim 25 meters with a backstroke kick
If your child is participating in swim lessons, they will be ready for Swim Team White Group after completing Stage 5 of the Y's swim lesson curriculum.
