We offer safe, affordable and high quality care year-round at the Mt. Trashmore Family YMCA in Virginia Beach. Enrollment is open year round, as long as space is available.
Hours:
Monday–Friday: 6am to 6pm
Y Member Weekly Rate:
2-Year Olds: $197
3–5 Year Olds: $181
Regular Weekly Rate:
2-Year Olds: $249
3–5 Year Olds: $234
Enrollment Fee: $100
Weekly payments are automatically drafted from your preferred payment method each Wednesday. Financial assistance is available through our Open Doors program and offers income-based subsidies. Our preschool locations also participate in the Child Care Subsidy Program through the State of Virginia Department of Education.

Meet the Director
Hello my name is Audrey Patrick. I am the Early Childhood Development Director at the Mt Trashmore Preschool . I have dedicated more than 13 years to the Y, shaping the lives of children and mentoring the next generation of educators. After more than a decade of working as a preschool teacher, I decided it was time to step into a leadership role and work to build the program to its highest potential. My years in the classroom have made me a more effective leader, giving me firsthand insight into the challenges educators face and the support they need to create a high-quality learning environment.
One of the defining moments in my career was when I received the Service to Youth award. I am passionate about the future success of each child we serve. The work that we do at the Mt Trashmore Preschool is a work of dedication and comes from the heart. I also have an accounting degree which helps me with the business aspect of preschool.
Audrey Patrick
Early Childhood Development Director, Mt. Trashmore Preschool Program
Audrey Patrick serves as the Early Childhood Development Director at Mt. Trashmore Preschool, where she brings over 13 years of experience with the YMCA. Her career began in the classroom as a preschool teacher, and after more than a decade of hands-on work with young children, she transitioned into a leadership role to help strengthen and grow the program.
Audrey’s years in early childhood education have shaped her leadership approach, grounded in empathy, collaboration, and a deep understanding of the support educators need to succeed. Her commitment to youth development was recognized when she received the YMCA’s Service to Youth Award, a highlight of her career.
In addition to her background in education, Audrey holds a degree in accounting, which supports her in managing the business side of preschool operations. She is passionate about creating a nurturing, high-quality learning environment where every child has the opportunity to thrive.
